The statement of the Kaduna State Governor’s media aide Muyiwa Adekeye, confirms that governor Nasiru El-Rufia appointed an additional two women to his team of special advisers. According to the media aide, the additional two special advisers are inclusive in the overall 17 aides which Gov. Nasiru El-Rufai added on Tuesday.
According to Muyiwa Adekeye statement, the result of this appointment is that Mrs Stella Amako is currently SA Community Relations. Also, the current SA Social Development is Haguya Zainab Shehu.
Furthermore, the appointment of more women as special advisers increased the number to 5 women who are among the administration’s eleven special advisers. Referring to the statement, Gov. El-Rufai states that other appointees are working as Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants respectively. The appointees under this category are; Aliyu Haruna, Youth, Nazir Sanusi, ICT, Hafsat Ashiru Administration, and Ibrahim Ismail, Community.
The other appointees are Mahmud Aminu for legal matters, Sakinat Bello for the environment, Kamal Aliagan for public Communication, Sonia Bature for the environment, and Aminu Lawal Na-Anty for Youth.
Meanwhile, the Governor is also nominating Mohammed Jalal to be the Fiscal Responsibility Commission Commissioner.
The Governor’s Promise
Governor El-Rufai made a promise on Friday that his child will continue the public school education. This promise comes as a result of the two teachers and six students who were abducted on Wednesday from Engrave’s College in Kakau Daji Kaduna State.
On the same Friday, he communicated his decision to the State House correspondents at Abuja. According to his statement, his child doesn’t deserve maximum security more than other children within the state.
He continued to say that his child shouldn’t be more protected and safer than any other Kaduna State child. According to him, I took an oath to protect every citizen of the state which my child is among. In fact, he is just one among the 2 million children attending the primary schools in Kaduna State.
The governor said, “I do not intend that situation to change” He states that his act of sending his child to attend public school shows his commitment. Also, it is a significant expression of his confidence in the high-quality standard of public schools in the State.
Follow –up Action
Due to the action of the Kaduna State governor, new directives were given to every staff member of the Ministry of Education working in the management level. They were all told to enrol their children in government schools as well.
Regarding the abducted people, governor El-Rufai states that the state government, guardians, parents of the victims and their security agencies are moving heaven and earth to get their release.
