The invasion of the federal high court in Abuja and forceful re-arrest of the publisher of Saharareporters news website Omoleye Sowore by agents of Department of State Services ( DSS) has invited the wrath of the House of Representatives.
The house has mandated its relevant committees to investigate the action of the Department of State Services to ascertain what really happened and who is responsible for the fracas.
Channels tv reported that the minority leader Ndudi Elumelu, during plenary on Tuesday.
The lawmaker described the occurrence as an abuse on the sanctity of the court.
He said the reported invasion of the courtroom by DSS operatives can be seen as one arm of government attempting to overpower another, which will spell doom for the country’s democracy.
