Anthony Martial has broke his silence on facing a £180,000 fine from Manchester United.
The Frenchman received a hefty monetary fine after failing to return to the clubs Los Angeles training base following the birth of his second child.
He was granted permission by Jose Mourinho to return home to attend the birth.
However, he failed to report for training resulting in a fine.
A few hours removed from reports surfacing of a disciplinary sanction, Martial has reacted by posting a message on Twitter.
“Thank you all for your posts. My little Swan is fine, for the mom it was harder but thanks to God she’s better now. Sorry but my family will always come first… Back tomorrow in Manchester,” he wrote.
Mourinho is clearly unhappy with Martial who remains heavily linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford.
The Portuguese manager says he ‘does not know’ if he’ll link up with the team once they head back to Manchester.
Anyway, Bayern Munich and fellow Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspurs have been mentioned as potential destinations for Martial, with the pair of clubs continuing to eye up his services ahead of tabling an official bid.
The talented 22-year-old arrived at United in 2015 from AS Monaco for £36 million, and has spent three seasons at the club.
But is he destined to ply his trade away from United? Watch this space.
