Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo recently joined Serie A side Juventus, for a fee of £105million, ending his nine year association with Spanish club Real Madrid.

Considering the former Manchester United man is now 33, a fee of over a 100 million might sound a little steep. However, if the results of his medical are anything to go by then the price shelled out by Bianconeri is perhaps not as outrageous as it might initially seem.

Reports suggest that the results from his medical show that Cristiano Ronaldo has physical capacity of a 20-year-old and he can exert the same amount of physical pressure on his body as a player 13 years his junior.

The results from the medical take into account Ronaldo’s body fat, his muscular mass, and his speed.

The medical showed that the 33-year-old has a body fat of 7 per cent which is three percent lower than an average professional and that he has a muscle mass of 50 per cent, four per cent more than an average professional.

Cristiano Ronaldo was clocked running at 33.98km at the recently concluded FIFA World Cup 2018 which was the fastest by any player at the quadrennial event.

Many a pundits were predicting that World Cup in Russia could well be Ronaldo’s last in Portugal colours and that Juventus had overspent on a player who was supposedly over the hill. Given his medical results, they might very soon be eating their words.
